3 Reasons Drone Footage Can Help Sell Your Home

Drone video footage and photography for real estate is slowly establishing itself in Vancouver as a necessary tool in the marketing and selling of fine homes.

1.     Drone footage of a property is part of an effective marketing plan.

Well executed & professional aerial footage can provide an exciting solution to marketing a home and increase the likelihood of higher offers. In the uber competitive real estate market, having a plan that is different from all of the others is what will help get your property sold.

 2.     It will help market the property by showing specific footage.

Showing the best features of the house from a bird’s eye view is very compelling, provides a sense of scale as well as an exclusive inside look at the home – leaving prospective home buyers craving more.

“Oh, the house has a pool …”

“This is how much of the backyard actually takes up.”

“The roof was recently redone…”

But contextualizing that house within the neighborhood kicks it up a notch.  A drone can show prospective buyers what it’s like to pull out of the driveway, what the other houses on the cul de sac look like, or any remains of the Native Indian graveyard the house might have been built on.

3.     You will have to.

As people learn more about what drones can provide and they start to see drone footage accompanying online listings, the benefits will become more apparent. Especially for people looking to move far enough away that going back and forth is challenging. For now, drone footage is being used mostly for high end properties but, as with most things, as it gets easier and less costly to produce,  it will become just another thing people expect when looking for a new home. Once you take a virtual tour of a house shot with a drone, you will understand that, in five years, nobody will ever go to an open house for a high end property without first seeing these videos
